Recipe Of The Month
YIELDS 36 BARS
By Chef David Robertson, The Dirty Apron
These humble bars are packed with lemon flavour. Finish them off with a light dusting of icing sugar, or pair them with glazed seasonal summer fruit or candied whole cranberries in the winter. This recipe makes a whole lot, so feel free to halve the recipe and bake it in a 9- × 13-inch pan (adjust the cooking times accordingly). Or cut into bars, pack into an airtight container or resealable plastic bags and freeze for up to 3 months.
Who is Chef David?
Chef David Robertson has built his career in the culinary industry for over 25 years. Throughout his career, David came to realize that not only does he love food, but he also loves teaching people about it. In 2009, together with his wife Sara, David realized his dream of opening a recreational, state-of-the-art cooking school in the form of The Dirty Apron, which since has evolved into The Dirty Apron Cooking School, Catering, and Delicatessen.
